Divergent, by Veronica Roth, blew me away. Divergent is a series of 3 (the last one isn’t out yet) centering on Tris, a young woman born into a life of peace, harmony… and boredom. She knows she doesn’t belong, and has to make the first in a series of hard choices.
Set in a dystopian future, this book speaks about romance, friendships, how people act in trying times, vengeance, and most of all… choices. It’s a great read, and if you like young adult novels, I highly recommend it.
I’ve been lucky enough to read a number of great books lately, and this one is no exception. Good writing, believable characters, and an interesting setting make this book a good choice.
