It sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie, but as far as I know, it’s true!
In Death Valley National Park, there are rocks that apparently slide across the desert, and scientists can’t figure out why or how, though they have theories on it. These rocks have long trails behind them. Scientists have various theories, including that maybe ice or wind plays a part in their travels. No matter what the real explanation is, it’s very interesting stuff.

In Bucks County, PA, we have Ringing Rocks Park.
It looks like an ordinary rock field, not uncommon in PA. However, these rocks ring when struck. They have different tones and notes, and no one knows quite why. People who visit usually bring a small hammer to strike the rocks, or just bang one against the other. It’s hard to believe until you’ve seen it for yourself, but I’ve been there. Here’s a link to a bunch of pictures, and if you scroll down, you’ll find a video as well, so you can “see” it for yourself.
