I had oodles of pictures to choose from for this particular photo challenge. In the desert, it’s easy to get pictures of near and far because the flat land makes for a great view. These pictures were both taken in one of my favorite places, Sedona.
The first one was the view from partway up Cathedral Rock. We walked up the trails, and although we weren’t more than halfway, it was a great view, more than worth the walk.
I took this picture on my way up to the Chapel of the Holy Cross, a church set into the side of a rock. The cactus caught my eye, but once I sat to frame the picture, I couldn’t resist making sure the view went long. It’s a beautiful area. I’m just grateful that I have a digital camera and don’t shoot film!
